Fibroblast Skin Tightening
Fibroblast-Skin Tightening treatment is a revolutionary method for a perfect facial rejuvenation. It is important to stress that Fibroblast Skin-Tightening is a non-surgical Technique where no scalpels or any other surgical instruments are used.
This treatment is an active answer to patient’s/customer’s needs for beauty treatments That provides perfect look but is not based on surgical methods and there are no surgical Risks involved. As you know, these risks are anaesthesia, stitches, swelling, long downtime, possible complications, bruises etc.
It is important to keep in mind that surgical Methods are far more expensive and complicated, while the end results are comparable with the soft surgery treatment. As an experienced Fibroblast-Skin Tightening therapist & trainer I have come across numerous situations where I carried out treatment with this method. I have realised that it is a very effective method; nevertheless, one has to be realistic and inform his clients that this treatment is a NON-surgical method which has its limitations and capabilities.
It is extremely important that the treatment and its results are presented to the customers
Realistically. This is the only way both sides can anticipate the mutually satisfying results that will meet the expectations. We will have a satisfied customer and achieve our goal.
Fibroblast Skin-Tightening treatment is not a surgical procedure and, consequently, its results can’t be as dramatic as results after the surgery. Thus the treatment should always be presented as an effective method with limited capacity, but giving results that can often be breath-taking.
What is it and how does it work?
The Skin-Tightening treatment uses small electric arch. Tissues treated “sublimate” and we avoid spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electrical arch, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which dermal and epidermal areas, which are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. When the electrical arch – touches the skin surface (epidermis), the heat widens the pores and is subsequently transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The result is contraction and tightening of the skin cells. Consequently, the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lift procedures or wrinkle reduction. Most, if not all, methods of skin resurfacing are based on creating a controlled skin damage, which activates its healing and this leads to the skin remodelling and improvement in various signs of aging. Even though skin layers get damaged by arch in a controlled manner (by heating, fragmentation, vaporization – sublimation and coagulation), they do not burn off as they largely do under ablative laser and, importantly, there is no open wound during the healing phase. This is extremely important as this approach reduces the risk of side effects such as scarring, infection, loss of pigmentation etc.
After the treatment
small dry spots – scabs form. They need 5-7 days to fall off and during this time the client should keep the skin surface clean and protect it with cream which we will present later. Skin-Tightening treatment works similarly to an ablative (fractional) laser. On a minute surface of the skin accurately directed energy damages very specific skin cells to encourage regrowth and renewal. This does not only improve the skin tone and texture, but it can also reduce scarring, improve a number of common skin problems and increase skin contour.
Before the treatment
Professional skincare products with ingredients such as retinols, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), retinoid or any type of vitamin A derivatives should be avoided. Medical history should also be taken into account to make sure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t carry out the treatment. Ask the clients to sign a consent form to confirm they have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the procedure.

It is also important to know that you should not have PLEXR soft surgery if you are pregnant or, Have very dark skin. In this case there is the risk you could develop pale spots (hypopigmentation) or post inflammatory dark spots (hyperpigmentation).
What can I expect when I have my treatment?
There will be an initial consultation with an Aesthetics practitioner to discuss your concerns and goals and the area you would like to target. Once you decide that you would like to book your treatment you will be invited in for your treatment. Local anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment to minimise any discomfort and the procedure is then virtually painless.
During the treatment a hand held device will be moved over the selected treatment area (e.g eyelids) and the device will deliver multiple shots of plasma. The procedure as a whole lasts between 45-90 minutes depending on the size of treatment area. Mild Discomfort may be experienced during a Plasma Soft Surgery® treatment. It is common for clients to feel a warmth or heat, as the treatment is carried out and this is the cause of the mild discomfort. Plexr technique is defined as “dynamic” because it allows our practitioners to ask you to open and close your eyes during the treatment.
What happens after my treatment?
You can resume any of your normal professional activities immediately after this aesthetic treatment. Most clients can go back to work the very same day.
Swelling starts on the following day and usually peaks on the second day. The third or fourth day after the treatment the swelling usually starts to subside slightly, and in most cases the swelling will have subsided completely on the fifth day. While the swelling starts to subside, the scabs starts to form to begin the healing process. At the site of each ‘dot’ created by the plasma arc, there will be a carbon crust/ scab. This crust should be left alone (but can be covered with liquid foundation if you are unhappy with their appearance to help camouflage). You will need to keep the treated area clean, dry and protected from sun exposure or direct sources of heat for a minimum of 30 days.
Please note the scabs do not always form, however, they do in most cases. Do not pick these scabs yourself. The scabs will normally have fallen off by themselves on the sixth or seventh day after the treatment leaving you with a rejuvenated new look as reduction in skin folds and creases appear immediately.
